School Holiday Camps

April 2012 School Holiday Survivor Camp Review

I’ve had the opportunity to sit around and listen to the crackle of the fire quite often during the last month.  I can’t remember ever getting weather so perfect, and for so long.  The students on the school holiday camp also thoroughly enjoyed the fires.  As well as toasting marshmallows, they also had the opportunity to cook up some bacon & egg muffins and they also made toasted sandwiches using the jaffle irons.  Another meal also utilised the on-site wood-fired pizza oven.  The students really enjoy making their pizzas from scratch.  A special mention to Sugo Tu who provide all our pizza products.  Their restaurant is Sugo Mi, on Oxford Street at Bulimba.  The pizzas are superb.  Needless to say, the students ate very well.  The fishing and red clawing was also very good during this camp.

Hi Steve –

Just wanted to offer some feedback and thank you for the Easter Camp.

Jacob was pretty worn out when we picked him up, but the next day he told us all about it ….. He absolutely loved it! I think he really enjoyed the independence – the fishing in the tinny was a big scorer for him; and the raft building and rock climbing. He said he made lots of new friends, and the food was “really great” – I don’t think a better recommendation by a teenage boy can be given!! He is keen to go on another camp, so we will keep an eye out on your website.

Many thanks for the effort you go to to organise these camps.

Cheers,

Carole Moran
