School Holiday Camps

April 2014 School Holiday Survivor Camp (8-13 year olds) Review

73 students between the ages of 8-13 participated in the school holiday survivor camp.  These students were the first to use the new 9 man OzTrail Bungalow tents.  The tents have three compartments, so plenty of room for the 6 who were allocated to each tent.  Once the tents were up it was onto the activities.  Split into tribes, the first task was to establish a tribal name and paint a tribal flag.  The first adventure activity commenced late in the afternoon on day one.  The main rotational activities were fishing, canoeing, milk crate climb and archery was linked with boat tube rides.  The students are kept busy with the activities and it was estimated they caught up to 300 fish during their time on the water.  It was great to see so many returning students and some regulars participating in the Ultimate Survivor Challenges.  Special thanks to L. Wilson & Co, Berkley and Bush n Beach Fishing Magazine for donating the prizes.

Dear Steve and Brad,
I just wanted to say thank you very much for the 3 day camp at Lake Maroon.  Mitch had a wonderful few days and has clearly gained some valuable life experiences.  He is now hooked (excuse the pun!) on fishing!
Thanks again - what a fantastic opportunity for our children!
Kind regards,
Kerry Lowe

Hi Steve, Thanks for last week. Ruth reckons another good camp and the tubing was a particular highlight!  Weather sounded like it was perfect too.  Many thanks, Justin Boyle

Hi Steve,
Bernie and Julia had a terrific time on the camp last week. It was really a great experience for them both.
