School Holiday Camps

December 2014 School Holiday Survivor Camp (8-13 year olds) Review

The summer school holiday camp for 8-13 year olds was held at Camp Lake Fire on 15-17 December 2014. It was great to see 87 students participate.  Activities included; rock climbing, milk crate climb, canoeing, tube rides, open fire cooking and fishing. The fishing session is a great introduction for children to freshwater fishing. Many students have never fished before, so it’s always good to see a student catch their very first ever fish.  It is also equally pleasing to see a student catch a trophy- sized fish, which on this occasion was Samuel who managed to land a 57cm yellowbelly.  Thank you to the sponsors who contributed towards the Ultimate Survivor gift packs; L. Wilson & Co, Berkley, Bush n Beach Fishing Magazine and Spin & Turn Spinner baits.

Thanks Steve, A massive effort and thanks again for the camp. Merry Christmas, Gabe Gerry’s family and we will definitely see you next year.
Nick Wiggett absolutely loved the camp! "He had the best time ever, and can't wait to go back!!" So thanks for the great memories. I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a happy and prosperous 2015. Cheers, Ana Wiggett.
