Churchie Years 1-3 Father & Son Fishing Weekend October 2014 Review

Sports Tuition hosted the Year 1-3 boys from Churchie on a father and son weekend at Camp Lake Fire on 24-26 October 2014. The weather has really warmed up which corresponds to the red claw being on the move.  The group arrived Friday afternoon and everyone enjoyed the wood-fired pizzas for dinner and red claw was a popular topping. The fishing commenced on the Saturday morning with the objective of catching dinner. Once we had enough, the group employed catch & release tactics.  Overall the boys did a great job breadcrumbing, however, some further supervision was required towards the end of the process as the young boys tried to breadcrumb too many at once...there is nothing like getting the job done quickly!  A little bit of tidy up was all that was required and then the group enjoyed a meal of fish and chips with salad for dinner.  The boys were little fire bugs too and enjoyed toasting marshmallows over the open fire. The group decided to engage in archery and canoeing/kayaking on the Sunday morning session to conclude the weekend.

Thanks Steve, Jett and I had a terrific weekend, well organised, good job! Thanks for the photos!
Thanks + Regards, NIGEL MILLS
