Clayfield College Father & Son Fishing Weekend March 2015 Review

The Clayfield College group travelled to Camp Lake Fire at Maroon Dam on the Friday afternoon, 6th March. The Friday night social element of the program revolved around the boys making pizza and a camp fire. After breakfast on Saturday morning the group hit the water; targeting Australian bass.  The Bluefin boats cruised up the western side of the dam and fished just out from the weed banks opposite the dam wall.  The group was blessed with perfect, still conditions.  After fishing for around two hours, there were enough fish caught for dinner, so the group employed catch and release tactics thereafter. On the Sunday, the boys participated in boat tube rides to wrap up the weekend.

Hi Steve – thanks for a great weekend.
Hopefully becomes an annual event for the boys.
Cheers, Jason Beikoff
